Meet Your Instructor
I'm Jules Horne, and I've been a writer ever since a lovely junior school teacher, Mr Stables, first got me started.
I didn't know any authors then. Books and writers had a kind of mystique. I didn't realised 'writer' was something you could actually be and do. But fast forward and that's how I've spent my life! Highlights include stories and plays broadcast on BBC Radio, stage plays, spoken word and fiction.
I've made a creative career out of writing, including 13 years' experience teaching wonderful Creative Writing students (undergraduate and MA) with The Open University.

Most aspiring authors learn by osmosis. Read loads of books, then write one.
Many writers I've worked with have written an entire novel draft before getting any feedback.
